INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WANE) You now have a tool to see exactly which gas stations have the lowest prices, regardless of where you are in Indiana. Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita on Tuesday announced the creation of IN Fuel Watch, a real-time online portal that tracks gas prices at more than 4,600 stations around the state. The website allows users to search, filter and sort stations by price, city or name. It features live statewide metrics — including the current average price and average change since the gas tax suspension began — along with color-coded indicators for each station: green for those dropping prices more than 17 cents below the April 8 level (the day the gas tax suspension took effect), yellow for moderate changes and red for any increases. “Hoosiers deserve clear, accessible information about gas prices in their communities,” said Attorney General Todd Rokita. “IN Fuel Watch gives you the ability to check local prices and see how they compare across the state. We know every penny matters right now and are committed to making sure you are treated fairly at the pump during this time.” On Monday, Governor Mike Braun indicated he’s unlikely to suspend the state’s excise tax, but hasn’t made up his mind on whether to extend the sales tax suspension. Anyone who believes they have witnessed price gouging may file a complaint with Attorney General Rokita’s office at indianaconsumer.com.
